Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 May 2026

Privacy by design. We collect the minimum data needed to run the Service, we never sell personal data, and we store IP addresses only as irreversible hashes.

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how QuickScanHub ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: email address and a securely hashed password when you register.
  • QR content: the destinations, text, or payloads you choose to encode, plus design settings.
  • Scan analytics (for dynamic codes): approximate country/region, device type, browser, operating system, referrer, and language. IP addresses are converted to an irreversible hash and the raw IP is never stored.
  • Technical logs: standard server logs used for security and abuse prevention.

3. How We Use Data

  • To provide and operate the Service and your QR codes.
  • To produce aggregated, privacy-preserving analytics for the owner of each code.
  • To run Veriqo safety checks and to detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and malicious links.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Bases (where applicable)

Where data-protection law such as the EU/UK GDPR applies, we process data on the basis of contract performance (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, analytics for code owners), and consent where required.

5. Data Security

  • Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing.
  • IP addresses are stored only as salted, irreversible hashes.
  • Traffic is served over HTTPS.
  • Access to systems is restricted and monitored.
  • Veriqo proactively screens URLs to reduce exposure to malicious destinations.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the Service, or where required by law.

7. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Scan analytics are retained in aggregated form. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the EU/UK GDPR and Israel's Privacy Protection Law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the website.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed for sign-in and security. We do not use third-party advertising trackers without consent.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children below the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect their data.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
